And Now For Something Completely Different

Many years ago I came across an amazing self-study course which literally changed the direction and the quality of my life. The original self-study course was:

  • three volumes,
  • a CD set and
  • even a set of DVD’s!

It took me a long time to work through it and as I said it really set me on the path I am currently following in my life today.

Last year, the author of that course, Leslie Fieger, decided to write a follow-up to his world famous self-study course. It came in the form of a simple book titled Your Prosperity Paradigm and really it appears to be a book of our times. It outlines in 11 Steps what you need to know to really transform any area of your life.

  • This little volume is NOT available in your local bookshop.
  • You can only get it from one place in the whole wide world and that’s why I’m writing to you today.

If you feel that you could be experiencing more of anything in your life and you would like to develop the mindset to help you move forward towards a more rewarding and fulfilling existence then Leslie Fiegers book could be just what you are looking for.

Here is an excerpt from a review of Leslies book:

Leslie’s entertaining, unique and masterful writing style made it difficult to put the book down my first time through, and clearly communicates a “can’t fail” system with a personalized, practical, step by step plan that will enable and empower anyone with the desire and a willingness to apply the principles shared, the ability to experience life in a whole new way.

I have read this 168 page book twice already and I know I will read it again because each time I do… I learn something new.

If you think this will be of interest to you, click this link and take a look. For less than $25 you could really transform the life you live and know in your heart that you have become the person who deserves it all.

Just to let you know – I am not affiliated with this book in any way. I don’t make any money from it’s sales – I just think it’s a worthwhile book and one that can make a difference to people’s lives. With our world in turmoil it’s time is certainly now and if I can get it into people’s hands then I will certainly try.

Conscious Awareness: The Power Of “What Is”

Many years ago I used to get a bit angry at this concept.

“Just Accept”…sounded to me like – just be a victim!

Since then however, I’ve realised that almost the exact opposite is true. Being able to accept “What Is” for what it is can be a very empowering thing.

Acceptance: This tool or gift is closely related to Patience but it has more to do with the energy of the allowing part of patience and our wish that our vision for ourselves manifest just as we wish, if that is for the Highest Good of ourselves and all those involved.

When you think about acceptance in terms of allowing or allowingness… which is probably not a real word but is a real concept and a useful tool… then you can begin to really engage with your life in a totally new way. You don’t try to change people because you know that (1) you can only change yourself and (2) they are absolutely perfectly them, just the way they are. You don’t try to manipulate things because you really understand that everything is perfect, will be exactly what it is because that is all that it can be right now.

This doesn’t mean that you stop growing and evolving. It doesn’t mean that you don’t set goals and apply your wisdom to achieving them, it means that you don’t get stressed out when things go a little uncertainly, or the ‘wrong’ way, or stop and start, or don’t look like you thought they would. You just watch and learn, adapt and reconsider, revise and review in light of ‘what is”.

  • This level of acceptance allows us to wait for the perfect delivery of our vision.
  • This level of acceptance allows us to see that there may be a different way for us to receive our desired outcome and to recognise that there is a bigger picture in operation in the Universe.
  • This level of acceptance allows us to remain open and loving and flexible in the face of delay, of changed plans, of apparent failure and to look for the lessons, the signposts and the treasures hidden in every event of our lives.

This aspect of Patience has been the hardest for me to learn and accept. I still forget it from time to time, but when I remember to remember it, the taste is as sweet as the first time I realised I had forgotten it.

Many blessings to all.

Our Thoughts Are Our Most Potent Creative Force

This statement is something I have come to believe with every fibre of my being and that does not mean that I have complete control over what I think. What it does mean though is that I have developed, to some degree, the skill of ‘catching’ myself when I launch into a thread of thinking which is negative and non-supportive of the way I want to live, who I want to become and how I interact with the world around me.

In the last post I talked about how we each have many, many thoughts each day and that the vast majority of those are the same thoughts we have been thinking for a long, long time.

  • Some of them are jingles we heard on the television or radio,
  • others are re-running conversations we have had with people,
  • or going over and over something nasty someone said to us,
  • they are angry thoughts directed towards someone or worse still, to ourselves.

When you stop and give this reality your attention you begin to realise what an absolute waste of brain and mind power that is! (more…)

There comes a time in every person’s life when they have to move on and Shaun has announced his departure in his wonderful thoughtful style.

I’ve had the most amazing year (ish) writing in tandem with Shaun and we have certainly covered an enormous variety of topics. I hope that everyone realises the depth and breadth of understanding that my co-writer has shared with us.

I will miss you my friend.

We enter a new era at FlipSide Perspectives and I

certainly hope you will stick with me as I negotiate the blogsphere without my dear companion.

As I was considering whether to continue without his assistance, I realised that my beliefs about preferring to work in partnership with others was as the core of this combined effort – this blog. I have had to really consider if this is still true or if I am now confident and capable enough to go it alone. I’ve decided that I am and I surely hope you agree.

So without further procrastination I launch into a new paradigm for me and for you.

I hope you enjoy and PLEASE comment on anything that touches you – click on the title of the blog post and the page will come up and allow you to post comment.

Ask questions, challenge me, share your stories. This can be a lonely place and I’d love to know you are out there!!!!

This month we thought we’d do a little exploration of Prosperity.

We hear a lot about Prosperity, on the news, in the papers, magazines and on the web. It appears that everyone has a take on it. Even the Universal Laws of Abundance and Attraction appear to have been caught up in all the hype.

We want to explore the word and what it represents in a little more depth, with a little more insight, with a little less gloss and lot more meaning.

We invite you to participate.

Share your views, your experiences, your definition with us.

From time to time we two get together on Skype and a conversation unfolds, catalysed from something we are researching, learning or sharing. Our topic this month was born of such a conversation as you can see if you follow the ‘chat’ we had recently.

Shaun says: hmmm… think I just read something that might be good for our next months topic ?

Cate says: oh yes?

Shaun says: “What promise might you have made to yourself that, without you realising it, is in fact keeping your life pretty much the same as it was?”

Cate says: hmmmm

Shaun says: That got my own brain ticking over to take a look at this but my guess is most people could do the same

Cate says: It’s a good question!

Shaun says: I’m certainly going to do some soul searching on that question to myself

Cate says: (not to be outdone) me too.

It was at this point in our conversation that the impact of the question being posed really started to filter through into my brain. This really was a most interesting question and one worth investigating further and perhaps even sharing with our readership.

Cate says: A promise…. a belief really but putting it as a promise is interesting

Shaun says: Yes… like a promise in a moment when you are really angry or something

Cate says: Like…. I’m never going to be like my parents?

Shaun says: Yes, those types of ones…you got it

Cate says: I wonder if there are others too?

Shaun says: Plenty, I’m going to try to unravel my own

Cate says: … I’m going to make my marriage work no matter what

Shaun says: yeah, that can be good or bad…lol

Cate says: exactly!! They all can, that is the point I reckon

Now the conversation took a turn that was at once very interesting and also a bit daunting. It’s one thing to look at your life and attempt to make some changes to it, but what if it was actually something you had promised yourself, maybe even a long time ago, that was causing you pain or discontent in your life right now? Shaun hit the nail right on the head with his next comment.

Shaun says: I’m really meaning a task of unraveling what are the bad ones that can keep us stuck as they are worth uprooting or slaying, so we extract ourselves from them (the promises) and realise it was not a wise decision to make such a promise to ourselves

Cate says: How about someone who is stuck in a job they hate but somewhere in the back of their mind their subconsious remembers them saying “If I get this job I’ll never leave it…….

Shaun says: YES!!!!!!

Cate says: or, things like…. Making a promise to yourself that you will never be “unreliable” – because you experienced it in your life (someone let you down) and now you find yourself being taken advanatage of because you can’t set boundaries…. or the opposite – you promise yourself you won’t let yourself be taken advantage of so now you are barricaded behind a wall you built and you can’t say yes to anything

Shaun says: This all started as I was reading another blog and that question resonated with me as something to look into deeply

Cate says: I think it’s a wonderful question, bloody scary question actually!

Shaun says: exactly!!!!

Ok, so there you go. This is the topic for this month, delving into the question”

“What promise might you have made to yourself that without you realising it,

is in fact keeping your life pretty much the same as it was?”

If you feel the urge, jump in with your own comments about this topic or even create your own article around it and we can post it here. We will continue to share what we are both learning about this topic over the next few weeks.

Feel free to share anything you learn from your own inner quest
